1. Scope and service agreements
Big G Electric ("we", "us") provides this website for information about our electrical, generator, heating and cooling services in the Greater Montréal area. The website-use provisions below apply to access and use to the extent permitted by law. Browsing does not purchase services, enroll you in a plan or create a payment obligation.
Work is governed by the quote, work order or service agreement accepted separately by you and Big G Electric, together with applicable law. These website terms do not override that agreement, binding representations or mandatory legal protections.
2. Inquiries and estimates
Submitting a contact form, uploading photographs or requesting a callback is an inquiry. It does not, by itself, accept a quote, confirm an appointment, authorize work or guarantee that a particular product suits your property. An automated acknowledgment confirms receipt only.
Project recommendations and estimates depend on accurate information and, where needed, an assessment of the installation. Please identify the service requested and disclose known relevant conditions. The accepted quote identifies the scope, pricing basis, inclusions, exclusions and any stated validity period. Website examples are not a substitute for that assessment.
3. Work scope, access and changes
Before work is authorized, responsibilities for access, owner or condominium approvals, permits and any related work should be confirmed in the service agreement. Customers should provide safe access and tell us about known hazards, access restrictions and relevant work by others.
If concealed conditions, code requirements or requested changes affect the agreed work, we will explain the proposed adjustment and obtain the required authorization before carrying out chargeable additional work. Nothing here authorizes automatic extras or removes our professional duties. Unsafe conditions may require a pause while a safe solution is arranged, subject to the agreement and law.
4. Prices, payment and cancellation
The accepted quote or plan agreement sets out applicable prices, taxes, deposits, payment dates and any disclosed service or callout charges. This page creates no additional fees, interest, collection charges or cancellation penalties. Any cancellation, rescheduling, refund or renewal provision must be communicated and agreed as required by law.
Contact us promptly if you need to change an appointment or end an agreement. Amounts owed, refunds and any compensation are determined by the accepted agreement and applicable law, including statutory cancellation rights where they apply. No automatic plan renewal is authorized merely by using the website.
5. Emergencies and scheduling
For electrical emergency service, call (514) 941-6061. Do not rely on a website form for an urgent response. If there is fire, immediate danger or injury, move to safety and contact emergency services at 911. Website information is not an instruction to attempt electrical repairs or work on energized equipment.
Our advertised 24/7 emergency service remains in place. Dispatch and arrival arrangements are confirmed directly. These terms preserve advertised generator-plan office-response commitments, including 24 hours for Silver and Gold and 12 hours for Platinum. An office response is distinct from technician arrival or repair completion. Applicable plan commitments and agreed appointment obligations remain binding.
6. Warranties and service commitments
These terms do not reduce Big G Electric’s advertised five-year, non-transferable warranty on electrical workmanship and installations. Its stated coverage concerns our work; materials may also have manufacturer warranties. The website warranty details and applicable written commitments remain in effect.
Legal warranties and remedies apply independently and may provide protection beyond a written warranty’s duration or coverage. A manufacturer warranty does not remove any responsibility that the law places on Big G Electric. Contact us about a concern with your project details so we can assess it. This request does not shorten any legal deadline or require you to waive a remedy.
7. Financing, incentives and external websites
Third-party financing, including Financeit, requires the provider’s approval and a separate agreement. Rates, eligibility and repayment obligations are those disclosed by that provider. Government grants, rebates and tax credits depend on the administering authority’s current rules and your circumstances; website references do not guarantee approval or a particular benefit.
External websites are controlled by their operators and have their own terms and privacy practices. Check their requirements before relying on them. We remain responsible for our own representations and obligations under applicable law.
8. Website content and intellectual property
Website text, designs, photographs, logos and other materials belong to Big G Electric or their respective owners or licensors. You may view and print reasonable portions to evaluate our services or keep records of your dealings with us. Other reproduction, commercial reuse or misleading use of branding requires the relevant rights holder’s permission, except where the law permits it.
Third-party trademarks and customer reviews remain subject to their owners’ rights. No ownership of your submitted photographs or messages transfers to us. Their handling is explained in our Privacy Policy.
9. Acceptable use and submissions
Do not use the site to submit unlawful or deceptive material, impersonate another person, send spam or malicious files, infringe others’ rights, probe systems without authorization or interfere with availability or security. Submit only information and files you are entitled to share and that are relevant to your inquiry. Avoid sending payment-card numbers, passwords or unnecessary sensitive information.
We may block abusive traffic or remove harmful submissions to protect the site and users, subject to law. Restricting website access does not cancel an existing service contract or eliminate rights under it.
10. Website information and availability
General website information cannot assess your specific installation, electrical capacity or required permits. Obtain a project-specific assessment before selecting equipment or planning work. We aim to keep information accurate, but pages may contain errors or become outdated. We may correct website errors prospectively; a correction does not retroactively change an accepted price, excuse misleading representations or remove legal remedies.
The website may be interrupted for maintenance or technical reasons. To the extent permitted by law, we make no additional promise of uninterrupted or error-free website access. This statement concerns the website only and does not disclaim the quality of our services, advertised guarantees or statutory warranties.
11. Responsibility and mandatory protections
For business users, and only where legally permitted and these terms are enforceable, Big G Electric excludes indirect commercial losses, such as lost profit or business opportunity, arising solely from website unavailability. This limited exclusion does not apply to electrical work or other services and does not impose a monetary cap.
No exclusion in these terms applies to consumer rights or remedies protected by law, our intentional or gross fault, bodily or moral injury, or any liability that cannot lawfully be excluded. Nothing releases us from responsibility prohibited from being waived under Québec consumer law.
12. Applicable law, updates and contact
Québec law and applicable Canadian law govern these terms, without depriving a consumer of mandatory protections or a legally available court or forum. We impose no mandatory arbitration or class-action waiver. If a provision is unenforceable, the remaining provisions apply only to the extent lawful.
Updates take effect prospectively on the date shown. They do not amend previously accepted contracts or accrued rights. Any contractual change requiring notice or consent will follow the applicable process. French and English versions are available; no language preference or waiver is inferred from browsing, and mandatory interpretation rules apply.
